This is an account of an embassy sent to Siam/Thailand in 1685 on behalf of the Safavid Shah of Iran/Persia, Sulaiman (reigned 1666-1694). In addition to being a valuable primary source on Iranian-Thailand relations and the influential resident Persian community, the work is a treasure trove for information about the "Franks" (Portuguese) and other Europeans working in Thailand.
